Harlingen - Ruben G. Garcia, 88 of Harlingen, TX entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 11, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents Francisca and Ernesto Garcia; 4 siblings Rosa Flores, Reynaldo Garcia, Juan Garcia and Rita Garcia.

He served in the United States Army.

Ruben is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years Margarita Garcia; his daughters Angie (Lupe) Gomez and Alma Garcia; grandchildren Clarissa and Amaris Gomez and Ruben Gonzalez; siblings Francisca Martinez, Rodolfo and Ernesto Garcia; many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Rudy Garza Funeral Home on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 1:00 pm-9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Rudy Garza Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Ashland Memorial Park
