James Michael "Mike" Klein

James Michael "Mike" Klein, 70, of Burlington died at 2:14 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 21, 1948 in Burlington, Iowa to James Court & Dorothy Marie (Dannies) Klein. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1966. Mike was a truck driver for 44 years retiring from Nussbaum in 2012. He was a member of the Burlington Model Railroad Engineers Society of Gladstone, Illinois, Eagles Aires #150 and a past member of the Teamsters. He enjoyed the internet, watching the Cubs and also was an avid Kyle Busch fan. He LOVED to eat at Napoli's. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ. Survivors include his two sons, Brian E. Klein (Angie Mickow) of Burlington, Kevin M. (Kimberly A.) Klein of Danville; grandson Kaleb P. Klein of Danville; his father James C. Klein of Burlington; Significant Other Jeania Cozad of Des Moines; two sisters, Deborah Marie Dayton of Burlington, Pamela Christine (Larry) Selser of Bettendorf; brother Jeffrey Charles (Nancy) Klein of Tucson, AZ., and several Nieces and Nephews. Visitation will be from Noon until 8 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2018 with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Burlington Model Railroad Engineers Society. According to his wishes cremation has been accorded and entrusted to Lunning Chapel.
