Connie Lee Calhoun
            Connie Lee Calhoun, 74, Anita, Iowa, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa.
           Connie was born June 17, 1943, in Guthrie Center, Iowa, to Robert and Dorothy (Miller) Greenlee. The family lived in Guthrie Center and Perry until the mid-1950s when they moved to Anita where Connie completed school.Â
           In December 1960, she married Larry Barber at the Methodist Church in Anita. Three children were born to this union. Later Connie marred Cyrus Calhoun.Â
           Connie was a stay at home mom until 1970 when she started working at the grocery store in Anita. In 1978, she attended Iowa Western Community College and received her LPN degree. She worked at various nursing homes, jails, and was a traveling nurse for a while. She and Cyrus lived out west for a while moving back to Anita in 2013.
           She was a member of the Anita United Methodist Church, and while out west she was a member of the Eastern Star.

afghans. All her family members have afghans she has made for them. She sewed professionally for a while and made many square dancing clothes for herself and others. She also would do a great deal of cooking for large family gatherings.Â
           Preceding Connie in death was her father, Robert Greenlee; a son, Robert Calhoun; and a great-granddaughter, Abby.
           Surviving Connie is her husband, Cyrus Calhoun of Anita, IA; her children, Deb (Francis) Hollinrake of Adair, IA, Brad (Terri) Barber of Anita, IA, Bobbi Jo (Tom) Curtis of Webster City, IA and Susie (Rob) Frimck of Riverton, WY; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and her mother, Dorothy Greenlee of Anita, Iowa.
           Visitation with family will be from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m., with a memorial service starting at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018, at the United Methodist Church in Anita, Iowa. Interment of ashes will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Anita, Iowa.
