Michael Sweeney, 63, died June 21, 2018 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Michael Bernard Sweeney, the son of Eugene and Shirley (Porter) Sweeney, was born November 5, 1954. He graduated from Cedar Valley High School in Somers and then served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany. He was married to Starla Geopfert and to this union 4 children were born.
Survivors include his children; Christopher (Kristen) Sweeney of Rockwell City, Jeremy (Jen) Sweeney of Manning, Dawn (Ricky) Johnson of Ankeny, and Barbara (Andre) Fennell of Carroll; 13 grandchildren, Hailey Sweeney, Lindsey Sweeney, Orion Sweeney, Kayd Sweeney, Ayden Sweeney, Austyn Sweeney, Ashley Watters, Nicole Watters, Ariel Leighty, Mariah Clairmont, Corey Fennell, Ashley Fennell, and Donte'Fennell; his siblings Paul, Pat, Tom, Dan, Doreen, Connie and Lynn. He was preceded in death by his parents.
