William Crowley

William "Bill" Von Crowley was born on July 19, 1945, in Des Moines, the son of Neldon and Dorothy (Prugh) Crowley. Bill grew up in Des Moines and Graduated from Des Moines East High School in 1963 where he was a Latin Scholar. He received a BA in Business Administration from the University of Northern Iowa in 1970. On February 5, 1967, Bill was united in marriage to Sherry Slater. The couple had two daughters, Crystal and Carrie. Bill was a successful insurance agent for over 30 years. He enjoyed family vacations, especially skiing trips to Colorado, and bicycling the trails in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin with Sherry. Bill was extremely proud of his grandson, Eric, and looked forward to watching his athletic events. Bill died at the age of 72 on June 15, 2018, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Crystal; a brother, James; a nephew, Douglas Crowley; and a sister-in-law, Donna Slater.
