Ronald Lee Galle, Sr., was born June 4, 1947 in Waterloo, IA: the son of Merlyn and Helen Weidemann Galle. He was united in marriage to Sandra Kay "Sandy" Derifield on November 3, 1979 in Waterloo; she preceded him in death on January 30, 2013. Ronald was a diesel mechanic for Case, Cedar Valley Corporation and Danner Corporation. He retired in 2007 from Harrison Truck Center. Ronald was the East Gate Trailer Court Neighborhood Watch President, belonged to Sons of the AMVETS and a member of the National Rifle Association. Ronald died on Friday, June 29, 2018 at St. Luke's in Cedar Rapids at the age of 71. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandy; a brother Rande Galle and a brother-in-law Bill Peightal. Ronald is survived by four sons: Ronald Lee Galle, Jr., of Evansdale, Donald Lee Shea of Waterloo, Gene LaVerne (Karen) Galle of Evansdale and Louie Lee Galle of Waterloo; four daughters: Bobbi Jo (Chuck) Stocks of Waterloo, Shelley (Bill) Murphy of Waterloo, Jennifer (Chris Ricketts) Bartels of Waterloo and Lori (Kevin) Schares of Independence; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Dorothy Peightal of Williams, AZ and Rhonda (Mary) Galle of Ft.
