Dorothy Ruth Volker

MIDDLETON-Dorothy Ruth Volker, age 96, of Middleton, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on April 2, 1922, in West Middleton, the daughter of Elmer and Clara Dahlk. Dorothy married Bruce F. Volker on Sept. 5, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa. She was a lifetime member of West Middleton Lutheran Church and several Veteran's Women's Auxiliaries. Dorothy participated in multiple bridge clubs and loved quilting.  She was an avid Brewers, Packers and Badgers football and basketball fan. Dorothy loved her family and watching all of her grandchildren's activities. She is survived  by her children, Barb Hanson, John (Mary) Volker, Doug (Karen) Volker, Bill (Mary) Volker, Beth (Bill) Brown and Fred (Colleen) Volker; brother, Robert Dahlk; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; parents, Elmer and Clara; and brothers, Eldon, Norman, and Lyle Dahlk.  Funeral services will be held at WEST MIDDLETON LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3763 Pioneer Rd., Verona, at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018, with Bonita Vize, Interim Pastor presiding.
