Mary Henderson

Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Mary Lou Henderson of San Angelo passed away at a local hospital on July 18, 2018 at 80 years of age. She was born on August 1, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas. Mary was married on September 19, 1959 in San Antonio, Texas to OB Henderson, Jr. of Inman, South Carolina. She attended Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos, Texas. Mary worked for a period of time at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas and retired as a school bus driver for the San Angelo Independent School District. She loved to travel with her husband who was in the Air Force and her children and lived in Turkey and Italy before residing in San Angelo. She loved to cook, read, and spend time with her grandchildren. , nephews, brothers and sisters in-law of Inman, South Carolina, and cousins. She was preceded in death by mother, Lillia and stepfather, Cresencio Ortiz and daughter, Sandra Lynn. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas. Service will be held Monday, July 23rd at 1:00 pm at Harper Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Lawnhaven Cemetery in San Angelo, Texas. Officiant will be Dale Weise of First United Methodist Church of San Angelo, Texas. Pallbearers will be Colton and Morgan Henderson, Michael and Cole Morse, John Fisher, and Daniel Martinez.
