Frances A. Anello, age 66, of New Paltz, NY, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital in NYC. She was born February 19, 1952 in the Bronx and was the daughter of the late Frank and Elaine (Weinbrenner) Tampone. She married her beloved husband, Michael Anello, on June 1, 1974.

Fran was employed as a Certified Medical Assistant by Wellcare Family Medicine in New Paltz and was later employed by SUNY New Paltz until her retirement. Fran's gracious heart was known by so many. No one left her house feeling under-appreciated, or underfed. Whether it were family, friend, or stranger, her willingness to put others first was uncompromising. Fran's selfless, loving, and gentle light flooded into every thing, or heart, she touched. So, though that light may seem to have faded, it will forever shine from the hearts of those who knew her.

n: Steven Anello of Los Angeles, CA; two brothers: Anthony (Debra) Tampone of Rosendale, NY and Frank (Dina) Tampone of Quakertown, PA, her beloved grandchildren, Ryan Elaina, Kayla, Peter, Jameson, Michael and Charles and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael McGrath.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Copeland Funeral Home, 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz, NY 12561. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10 am at St. Joseph's Church, 34 S. Chestnut Street, New Paltz, NY, followed by burial at New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
