Juanita Irene Hockey

Juanita Irene Davis Hockey, 84, of Waterloo, IA died Thursday, July 19, 2018 at her home. Juanita was born November 13, 1933 in La Porte City, IA, the daughter of Ray and Helen Speck Bryan and graduated from La Porte City High School. She married Hiram "Al" Davis on August 16, 1952. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1987. She married Richard "Dick" Hockey, Sr. on February 29, 1992. She worked as a bookkeeper at Zeidler's Concrete until retirement. She was an active member of Waterloo First United Methodist Church activities. Juanita loved spending quality time with her family, square dancing, camping, and taking bus tours. She also was involved with the John Deere retirees and volunteered at the Salvation Army. Juanita is survived by her husband of Waterloo; three sons: Robert (Pam) Davis of Traer, IA, Ronald (Jolene) Davis of Jasper, GA and Richard (Janet) Davis of Cortez, CO; a daughter, Laura (Donald) Davis Schwab of Hampton, IA; six stepchildren: Richard (Shirley) Hockey, Jr. of Waterloo, Mike (Staci) Hockey of Cherokee, IA, Mark (Linda) Hockey of What Cheer, IA, Tracey (Jim) Estel of Evansdale, IA, Steven Hockey of Arizona, and Gary (Wanda) Hockey of Des Moines, IA; two...[more]
