Dean Allen Lange

Dean Allen Lange, age 58, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of La Porte City died Friday, June 29, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was born November 14, 1959 in Waterloo the son of Marion "Bud" and Doris Walker Lange.  He married Brenda Roney on August 8, 1992 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua she preceded him in death on August 8, 2014.  On June 23, 2015 Dean met Jackie Schropp and they fell in love, treasuring each moment spent together.  During their travels they looked for great food finds by motorcycle, plane and car.  Chasing down a lot of 80's Hair Bands and three trips to Mexico were among their many adventures. In his earlier years, Dean worked for the Utility Equipment Co. and then was a professional truck driver for Decker Trucking for 5 years, logging over a million miles.  Dean later was transportation director for Union Community Schools in La Porte City and then worked for Ryder Trucking in the logistics department.
