Ernest R. Bontrager, 66, of Arthur, Illinois, passed away in Sarasota, Florida. He was born December 29, 1951. He was preceded in death by his son Marcus Ryan Bontrager and a brother Willis Bontrager. Ernest loved spending time with his grandson and documenting many events on video to share on YouTube. He had uploaded over 1000 videos which received over ten million views. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Ray and Ella (Miller) Bontrager; son, Michael Eric Bontrager and his wife Karmen of Arthur, Illinois; grandson, Kayden Lee Bontrager; Former wife, Sarah Ann Miller of Sarasota, Florida; brother, Kenneth Bontrager and his wife Goldie of Sullivan, Illinois; sisters, Marie Kuhns and her husband Dannie of Arthur, Illinois, Ruth Kuhns and her husband Gary of Tuscola, Illinois and Judy Herschberger and her husband Darrell of Tuscola, Illinois; and a sister-in-law, Esther Bontrager of Sullivan, Illinois. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm at Palm Grove Mennonite Church, 108 S. Beneva Road, Sarasota, Florida.
