Mary "Juanita" Wyrick

Mary "Juanita" Wyrick, 92, of Keokuk, passed away August 18, 2018 at River Hills Village, Keokuk, Iowa. Juanita was born July 27, 1926, in Medill, Missouri, the daughter of Clyde and Georgia Arnold Nickel. She was united in marriage to Albert Wesley Wyrick on June 21, 1945, in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 15, 2009. Juanita was baptized in Alexandria Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America. In her earlier years she enjoyed, dancing and listening to Johnny Cash and Alan Jackson music. Juanita and Albert loved traveling, riding their motorcycle and spending the winter in Phoenix. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, sewing and playing cards. Juanita is survived by her two daughters Jan (Joe) Gutting of LaHarpe, IL, and Carole (Michael) Marks of Woodside, CA, two sons Gary Wyrick of Bayfield CO and Roger Wyrick of Tucson, AZ; seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great greatgrandchild; one brother Clyde Nickel of Keokuk, IA; and nieces and nephews. AM, Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Kahoka Cemetery, Kahoka, MO., with Rev. Bruce Goettsche officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau after 3:00 PM with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 PM.
