Jose Luis Almazan, 72, passed away to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Almazan was born May 20, 1946 to Alvaro & Victoria Almazan in Cerritos San Luis Potosi Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Almazan is survived by his wife, Maria Elena Almazan, of Weslaco, TX; 3 daughters, Mayela Stuparitz of Chicago, IL, Elsa Leticia Almazan, Dulce Almazan, both of Weslaco, TX; 1 son, Jose Luis Almazan, Jr. of Weslaco, TX; 3 brothers, Pablo Almazan, Jaime Almazan, both of Weslaco, TX, Jose Angel Almazan of Laredo, TX & 1 sister, Rosa Maria Correa of Beaumont, TX. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018 & 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Angels with a 7:00 p.m. rosary Sunday evening. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2018 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens.
