James John Toomey

James John Toomey passed away peacefully at his home in Fort Lauderdale, FL on Sunday August 26th at the age of 82. He was the son of Mary Jane and James John Toomey of South Boston, Massachusetts. Jim was predeceased by his son John Toomey of West Hartford, CT. John is survived by his wife Dawn and their two children. Jim is survived by his loving wife Joyce and their children; Beth Sexany of Falmouth, Ma, Kim Leder of Durham, NC, James Toomey of Charlestown, RI, Kevin Myjak of Cheshire, CT and Jennifer Genewicz of Walpole, MA and their spouses. He also leaves his grandchildren, nieces, extended family, friends, 5 O'Clockers and Fuzzys. Jim was a longtime Sales Rep for Jostens, Inc of Minneapolis, MN and leaves behind numerous friends and customers from the Jostens family. He helped to found Cheshire Youth Hockey and was a long time coach before he went on to Coach the Division 1 Cheshire High School Hockey Team. He was a director for Hockey Night in Boston and loved being involved with recruiting the best hockey players. He loved all sports and enjoyed being a part of the hockey world.
