JEANNE BARRY MUSCATINE, Iowa - Jeanne M. Barry, 97, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018, at Bickford Cottage. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Reverend Dan Schoepf will officiate. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018, at the funeral home. As a cancer survivor, memorials for Jeanne may be made to her niece, Sandy Kaska, for breast cancer research and awareness. Jeanne was born on February 28, 1921, in Muscatine, the daughter of Gary and Sina Erkson Thompson. She married Robert K. Barry Jr. on September 27, 1942, in the rectory of St. Mathias Church. She was a secretary for Heinz for several years. She attended Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed staying with her sister, Shirley, and shopping with her sister, Lucille. Jeanne loved her nieces and nephews, especially her little pumpkin, Ayvin.
