Family will receive friends for a gathering from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday also at RiverCrest. Austin passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. He was 21. Born August 9, 1997 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Vince Bulwin and Patti (Smith) Kitch, Austin grew up in the Tulsa area. As a child, it was not uncommon for big sister, Misty, to watch over Austin. Misty recalls that Austin was pretty ornery back in those days and she isn't quite sure that the free spirit that embodied him as a child ever left! At three years of age, Austin was able to ride a bike. He even figured out how to take the training wheels off all by himself! It was at that early age that Austin believed he could do just about anything! It was just a couple of years after that, when Austin's family knew that he was destined to work in a garage. er where Austin could be found in his shorts and rubber boots. As he grew up and it became socially necessary to wear a bit more, Austin could be found wearing his rubber boots and camo outfit. Attending school in Jenks and graduating from Jenks High School, Austin then furthered his education by attending Tulsa Tech where he attained certifications in Auto Mechanics. Concurrently, he worked in mechanic's shops where he enjoyed using his hands and solving problems. He continued to receive training and accomplished his ASE mechanic's certification. His latest work assignment was with Migeli's Foreign Car Service which was right up his alley as he loved driving imports. Austin also loved hanging out with his friends. Many of which, also had imports and they all gathered frequently, usually meeting up at Sonic, to then cruise up and down Memorial Drive. Before cars, Austin was quite the accomplished skateboarder too. It's hard to believe that in his younger days, Austin was a bit shy. It is evident that he got all of that out of his system and, in fact, we're not sure that he ever met a stranger! There are numerous people that regard Austin as their 'best friend' and he too had a number of best friends. Described as rambunctious, daring, and stubborn, Austin was also known to be fun-loving, smart and almost always put a smile on your face because of something funny he had to say. There is no doubt that Austin left us all too soon. There will forever be a void in the lives of those he knew and loved. He leaves behind a large family that will continue to remember the impact that he had on each of their lives. They include: his maternal grandmother, Fern Smith; mother, Patti Kitch and husband, Robert; paternal grandparents: Walter, Sr. and Bonnie Bulwin; father, Vince Bulwin; siblings: Misty Harris and husband, Brandon; Shane Robertson and Flo Liebhart; Cody Bulwin and wife, Cindy; Matt Kitch and wife, Marci and Adam Kitch; nieces and nephews: Lily, Madison, Zoie, Austin, Dezi, Can, Eva, Matt, Gary, Kylee and Mollie; aunts and uncles: Mike Smith, Rocky Smith and wife, Jeannie, Bill Bulwin and wife, Sherry, Michael Bulwin and Walter Bulwin, Jr.; cousins: Jacob, Levi, Desi, Hannah, Oliver and Mike. He was preceded in death by: his maternal grandfather, Paul Dean Smith and a cousin, Joel Smith.
