Mary was an avid collector of antiques and enjoyed "antiquing" through homes and barns or at auction sales to find the "diamond in the rough." She had a keen eye for quality and enjoyed being able to find a bargain. Mary also enjoyed her time spent as an artist - whether it be sewing her daughters' clothes or challenging herself to learn and perfect the arts of macramé, crochet, knitting, and crewel work. She won multiple art prizes in a needlework show in Centerville for her cross-stitch. She was a friend to many and will be sadly missed. A special thank you from the family to the employees of Mercy Medical Center, the dietary staff, and Long Term Care for their help and support. Also Hospice of Southern Iowa.
