Frank Springer

Frank Laverne Springer, age 77, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the VA Hospital in Knoxville, Iowa. He was born September 7, 1931, the son of Frank James and Fern (Dieterich) Springer in Centerville. Frank graduated from Centerville High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Army. Frank achieved sergeant status during his military career. Frank is survived by three children, Bryan (Becky) Springer of Des Moines, Iowa, Lucinda (Randy) Jacobs of Truro, Iowa, and Debbie (Steve) Udrivich of Ankeny, Iowa; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister Juanita Stroud of Cincinnati, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother James Springer, and a sister Bonnie Bailey. Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville with Pastor Lloyd Johnston officiating.
