Delbert Hendrickson

Delbert Hendrickson also known as Del, age 67, after living in the Centerville area for the past 13 years, passed away from his earthly life, March 25, 2009. He began his early life and completed his educational years in Northwood, Iowa. After completing a tour of duty in the military, European duty, he returned to the Des Moines area and became involved with the sales of golf course improvement products and equipment. Other employment opportunities were soon to give way to the golf industry. As a fixture at Echo Valley, most of his adult working life, he witnessed many changes and was a dedicated person to the improvement and expansion of this facility. As he pursued his career, and over many years, friendships developed and Del gathered a long list of those we would like to call friends including young people especially of the golf course. Delbert was born December 1, 1941 to Pearl O. and Judith (Carlson) Hendrikson in rural Northwood, Iowa. He is survived by a sister, Jean Flatness of Northwood, Iowa; a brother, Merle E. Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2009 at the Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until service time. Burial of his cremains will be at a later date in Northwood, Iowa.
