Daniel DeWayne Harmon

Daniel DeWayne Harmon, 56, of Bowen, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at his home. Daniel was born November 16, 1954, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Freddie Lee and Betty Jean Glines Harmon. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1973. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Western Illinois University in 1997. He served in the Iowa Commission for Persons with Disabilities. Daniel is survived by a son, Daniel D. "Burke" Harmon of Des Moines, Iowa; four sisters, Joanne Dvorak of Chicago, Illinois, Donna (David) Leffler of Warsaw, Illinois, Mary (Hugh Horio) Norris of Honolulu, Hawaii and Carol (Sean) Walker of Denver, Illinois; nine stepbrothers and stepsisters, Alice (Dwight) Martin, Ed (Ginger) Richardson, Barb (Ken) Weller, Jim (Jean) Richardson, Norm (Vivian) Richardson, Joe (Linda) Richardson, Kathy (Alan) Rose, Karen (Joe) Hayden, and Sharon (Chuck) Huston; two aunts, Barbara (Raymond) Massey and Beulah Stephenson; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; special friends, Karen Willey, and Preston and Nell Theriot; and his dog, Cuddles. A Celebration of His Life will be at 7:00 pm Monday, March 21, 2011, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center on Blondeau Street with Pastor Gary Miller officiating.
