Stuart Lee Ewing

Stuart Lee Ewing, 60, of Keokuk, passed away Thursday morning, October 25, 2018 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Stuart was born July 2, 1958, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Robert and Mildred Piersee Ewing. Stuart graduated from Keokuk High School, attended 2 years of Southeastern Iowa Community College, and the one year of broadcasting school. He has been employed as a laboratory technician for Henniges Automotive. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and enjoyed coin collecting, reading, and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan. He loved to playing golf and watching sports. Stuart is survived by his mother, Mildred Ewing, a sister, Diane (Tom) Carlson, and a brother, Craig Ewing, all of Keokuk; a niece Amie (Shawn) Waldemer of Mesa, Arizona; five nephews, Chad (Krystal) Ewing of Lima, Illinois, and Tim (Stephanie) Ewing, Jason Ewing, Doug Ewing and Brett Carlson, all of Keokuk; three great nephews and two great nieces; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Doug. Graveside services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 31, at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.
