Michael A. Parker

Michael A. Parker, 65, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2018 at his home. Born December 13, 1952 in Columbia City, he was the son of Clarence "Ed" Parker and Norma F. Parker Curless. He graduated Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1971. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for Isolatek International, Huntington for 24 years, retiring this past August. He also had severed on the Jefferson Township Fire Department. On August 5, 1994, he married Jeannie (Pequignot) Smith in Tennessee. Mike enjoyed camping, golfing, target shooting and loading bullets. He found relaxation in being at home and taking golf cart rides on trails and out in the woods. Survivors include his wife, Jeannie Parker; daughter, Rhea Elizabeth Schutt, of Kentucky; step-daughter, Trina (Todd Kline) McConnell, of Columbia City; stepdaughter-in-Law, Jainele Smith, of Columbia City; brothers, Gary (Becky) Parker and Scott (Linda) Parker, both of Columbia City; grandchildren, Alicia Smith, Emma Smith, Tyler Harrison and Blake Schutt; and six great-grandchildren.
