onal Bank until her marriage to Bill in 1960. She moved with Bill to Dodge, NE where he was a teacher/coach and she became involved in making pottery and learning to be a new mother with her first child. After four years they moved to Sioux Falls, SD where Bill continued to teach and Jan continued as homemaker with her second child. She started to work as a teacher aide when the youngest child entered jr. hi school. After 25 years in Sioux Falls she moved with Bill to South Sioux City, NE where he worked at Great West Casualty Co. Jan started to work with the Sioux City Head Start program and became a teacher for them from 1992 until she retired in 2005. She thoroughly enjoyed working with pre school children and the Head Start program. Janet always wore a smile. Even when life's events did not go well there was a slight smile. She was a great mom, teaching by word, by example, by fairness, and the Christian way. She was a wonderful girlfriend, wife, and soul mate for Bill. She was always supportive in times of hard decisions, talking things through to a reasonable conclusion. She will be thoroughly missed by family and friends on this earth but happy that her soul will be in heaven with the almighty and happy that our souls will soon be together once again as soul mates. Because we, Janet and Bill, have chosen to be cremated and our remains placed together in one burial urn, our final burials plans will be made by our children at a future and appropriate time.
