Jack D. Frame, 76, of Elmwood passed away Thursday evening, November 1, 2018, at home with his wife & son by his side. Jack was born on September 11, 1942, in Peoria, Illinois, the son of A.D. "Bud" Frame & Eloise Pickrell Frame. His parents preceded him in death. He married Dottie Yates in Galesburg on August 3, 1969. Surviving are his wife, Dottie, of Elmwood and their son, Christopher (Melissa McKinley) of Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Also surviving is a sister, Melanie Butts of Peoria; one nephew; two nieces; three great nieces and nephews; and several cousins. Jack graduated from Elmwood High School in 1960 and then received his associate degree from Canton Jr. College. Went on to Bradley University, Peoria, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and then his Master of Science degree in Psychology in 1966. He was the Guidance Counselor at Dunlap High School for three years. Then he spent the next thirty-four and a half years as Guidance Counselor at Spoon River College in Canton until he retired in December 2003. Central National, and Financial Security Life where he was consistently presented with "Man of the Year" awards in Sales for many consecutive years and was placed in the top 10% of all annuity producers in the United States. He also won many of their Centennial Club awards and trips for him and his family over the years. After Jack retired, he loved to detail cars and was always a car enthusiast from the time he was a young teenager. He enjoyed doing yard work, riding his motorcycles and listening to music. He loved their kitties, Misty, Maui & Hana. Most of all he enjoyed traveling, taking his wife on cruises, driving up to Wisconsin to visit Chris and Melissa and also spent a lot of time at their vacation home on the island of Maui. They were planning a trip back to Hawaii in August 2019 for their 50th wedding anniversary. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood, with the funeral following at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Township Cemetery. A special thank you to the doctors and staff at Unity Point Methodist, Heartland Health Care Center in Peoria, and Derrick for driving Jack home. Also a very special thank you to Harbor Light Hospice and staff in Galesburg, especially Jack's nurse, Amanda; she was exceptional and available for us 24 hours a day.
