Teague Alan Fletcher

On Wednesday, November 7, 2018, Teague Alan Fletcher passed away suddenly at the age of 44 at his home in Sarasota, FL.   Teague completed the Fletcher family when he was born on July 5th, 1974 to Alan and Catherine in Coon Rapids, MN. He grew up and made many lifelong friends in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he attended Holy Trinity Elementary and West Catholic High School. The family moved to Sarasota, FL in 1988 where he graduated from Riverview High School in 1993 and developed his passion for his many friends and Tae Kwan Do.   Teague was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes when he was eleven years old.  It was challenging at times to live with diabetes, and it took its toll on him, but he took great pride in treating his illness and acting as a teacher and mentor for young children struggling as well.   Teague loved being a father and spending time fishing with his children on the beautiful waters of the Florida Gulf.  He could also be found playing hockey with his son or learning the guitar and ukelele with his daughter.  He cherished watching his beloved Tampa Bay Lightning and Buccaneers as well as the mighty Crimson Tide with his friends and family.  We will remember...[more]

mber Teague for his quick wit, a tremendous sense of humor, and his ability to make all those around him gasp for air with laughter.   He is survived by his children, Kaila and Ethan of Sarasota, FL his parents, Alan and Catherine Fletcher of Seattle, WA and his siblings, Melissa (John) Gray of Sarasota, FL, Chad (Amy) Fletcher, of Bellevue, WA, as well as his nephews Tyler, Cameron, Jack, and Will.   We will celebrate Teague's life at the Maloney Funeral Home, 2401 Cattlemen Rd. Sarasota, FL 34232, on Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 5 PM to 7 PM. A memorial service will begin at 5.
