James Kent Shaffer

James Kent Shaffer, age 68 of Harleysville and formerly of Perkasie, died Tuesday November 20, 2018 at home. Born in Honolulu, HI, he was the son of the late Bradford Kent and Margaret (nee Chatlosh) Shaffer. James was a retired self-employed stone mason in Bucks County. He was a golfer and enjoyed playing the harmonica, especially the Blues. Mr. Shaffer was a member of the Doylestown Maennerchor Club and played pool in area pool leagues. He is survived by his wife Sharan Dawn (nee Pratt) Shaffer and his children James Michael Shaffer of Horsham, Benjamin Lee Shaffer of Arcadia, FL, Jason Andrew Shaffer of Perkasie, Angie Danielle Shaffer of Harleysville and Morgan Alexander Shaffer of Chalfont. He is the Grandfather of seven and Great Grandfather of three. He was preceded in death by two Grandchildren and two great grandchildren. James is also survived by his sisters Karen Sue Reilly (Mike), Lori Paitl (Bill) and Robyn Shaffer. Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday December 1, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Service at 6:00 PM.
