Mary Elaine Taylo

Mary Elaine Taylo, age 92, of Missouri Valley, passed away November 30, 2018 at CHI Immanuel Hospital in Omaha. Elaine was born January 24, 1926 in Loveland, Iowa to the late William E. and Rose Ann (Moss) Smith. She married Orville K. "Jiggers" Taylo on March 13, 1943. They were blessed with three children, Carolyn, Dennis and Patricia. Elaine was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church in Missouri Valley. She was an avid bowler, pool player, cook and baker. In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Jiggs Taylo in 1986; son-in-law, Hugh Thompson; great grandson, Alex Cook and 3 brothers. Elaine is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Thompson of Missouri Valley, Patricia (Val) Jones of Bruneau, Idaho; son, Dennis Taylo of Crescent, Iowa; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; special friend of 24 years, Adam Gdowski of Missouri Valley; sister-in-law, Eileen Smith of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews.
