Adelaide Hewitt
Adelaide Hewitt, 89, died at Woodland Pond in New Paltz, NY, on December 4, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 5, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Louise Whelan Hewitt. Adelaide leaves two sisters, Carolyn Midgett and Ursula Fox; a son, John Crowne and her husband, Paul Bateman.
Adelaide attended Antioch College and graduated from the University of California in San Diego. Her professional career was spent in California as the personal assistant to Geoffrey Burbidge, renowned Astrophysicist.
Services were private at the discretion of the family.
