Dean enjoyed working on lawnmowers and cars, spending time with his children and grandchildren, making big holiday meals for family and friends, and visiting with people at Cindy's bar. He is survived by his children, Roy (Ashlee) of Blue Grass, IA, Amy (Tyson) of Clinton, IA, Cody of Andrew, IA, and Tyler of Andrew, IA; 3 grandchildren, Alyanna, Mayverick, LayLyne; sisters, Mary (Terry) Brooks of Oxford Junction, IA, Wendy (Marty) Walsh of Maquoketa, IA, and Lorna (Gregg) O'Bryant of Sabula, IA; aunt, Grace Dague of Maquoketa, IA; and a brother-in-law, Terry Ricklefs of Monmouth, IA. He was preceded death by his parents, a sister Lori Ralston, a brother Shawn Riordan, and his common-law wife of 18 years Tammy Ricklefs on August 27, 2011.
