Glenn Burkett

Mr. H. Glenn Burkett, 79, Burlington, died Friday, December 14, 2018 at his home. Born October 24, 1939 in Blandinsville, Illinois he was the son of Edgar B. and Mildred O. (Oard) Burkett. He married Nancy L. Cross on February 4, 1961 in Middletown. Glenn was a graduate of Blandinsville High School and Western Illinois University. He served as Assistant Vice President for First Star Bank, First National Bank and US Bank for 35 years. After retirement he worked for Heritage Pharmacy delivering to various nursing homes and hospitals. He was of the Lutheran Faith. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie #150, the Burlington Kiwanis Club, Jaycees and the American Beekeeping Association. Survivors include his wife Nancy Burkett of Burlington; one daughter Diana (Terry) Schneden of Burlington; one son H. Glenn Burkett III of Burlington; two grandsons, Austin and Jeremy; one brother Frank Burkett of Dallas City, Illinois and one sister Phyllis Shepard of West Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
