Dorothy Lee Walton-Thompson, 84, of Nevada, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018, at her home in Nevada. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 24, at Collins Evergreen Cemetery in Collins with the Reverend Douglas Harding, officiating. Dorothy was born in Boone on October 18, 1934. She was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Cubs. She enjoyed scratch lottery tickets (especially Bingo) and playing cards and games. Dorothy is survived by her children: Ida Hall of Des Moines, Sandy (Ron) Augustine of Nevada, Sonya (Jim) Wickersham of Orchard, NE and Bobby Thompson of Nevada; her grandchildren: Misty, Michelle, Nate and Niki; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ivan Walton; her second husband, Lewis Thompson; her son, Ivan Walton; four brothers; and two sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Dorothy. Rasmusson Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
