in Iowa City. Possessing a true servant's heart, Jeanne was devoted to her family and friends through prayer and so many acts of kindness. With the loss of their third son, Norman, Leighton and Jeanne resolved to trust God and dedicate their lives to honor and serve Him. Jeanne worked alongside Leighton in the business and in nurturing their children at home, church, school, and through 4-H and FFA. For many years, she faithfully delivered "Meals on Wheels" even by snowmobile through a blizzard. She served as Sunday school teacher and actively supported East Iowa Bible Camp in Deep River, Iowa. The Jones home was always open for bible studies, visiting evangelists, missionaries, and stranded travelers from the interstate; all would leave having been well-fed and their hearts enriched. Jeanne was a woman of strong faith and love for her Savior. "Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you."
