Robert Hoyt, of Antigo, died Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 82 years old. He was born on November 13, 1936, in Newington, New Hampshire a son of Benjamin and Mitilda (Bell) Hoyt. He married Eleanor Berdan on July 19, 1958, in Straham, New Hampshire. She survives.
He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1957 having been stationed in France.
He moved to Antigo in July of 1973 and was employed at the Langlade County Highway Department from 1973 until retirement in 1998.
Survivors including his wife are three daughters, Kaye (David) Brigette, Florida, Sheila Hoyt, Antigo, Theresa (Adrian) Tomlin, Post Lake; son, Robert Jr. (Jeanne) Hoyt, Scandinavia; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl Hoyt, Newington, New Hampshire.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and one brother.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
