Don C. Oakley

Funeral services for Mr. Don C. Oakley, age 72 of Monroe, will be conducted Sunday, January 6, 2019, at 11 A.M. from the Hatcher Hall Christian Church. Bro. Hillier Duke will officiate. The family will welcome friends Saturday evening from 6 to 9 P.M. at Hatcher Hall Christian Church. Burial will be in the Nelson Cemetery. Mr. Oakley passed from this life on Saturday morning, January 5, 2019, from Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born in Fentress County on April 8, 1946, to the late Butler and Bethel Phillips Oakley. Don loved hunting, fishing, farming, and engaging in other outdoor activities. Mr. Don C. Oakley leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years Nina Bilbrey Oakley of Monroe; sons Jason Oakley and wife Heather and Tim and wife Holly of Monroe; grandson Tanner Oakley of Monroe; sisters Linda Lee and husband Gerald of Carthage and Cathy O'Connor and husband Tommy of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Oakley was preceded in death by his son Bryant Oakley and his sisters Johnnie Krantz and Betty Garrett. Pallbearers to serve are Billy Maynord, Andrew Maynord, Jerry Lee, Mike Lee, R. L.
