He liked to keep in touch with his family on the phone. He especially loved his dogs, a chihuahua, Taz; a miniature black lab; and a miniature pincher.
His family includes his wife, Judy Fallis of Beacon; three children, Bill (Barbara) Fallis of Oskaloosa, Ashley (Joshua Slatton) Fallis of Thornburg, and Cheyenn (Robert) Yeager of What Cheer; a son-in-law, David Whitlow of Johnston; twelve grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tanya Whitlow; and a granddaughter Kelly Yeager.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel with Pastor Alvern Boetsma officiating. As was his wish his body has been cremated. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. The family will be present on Tuesday at 4 p.m. until service time at 6 p.m. to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to the Nelson Pioneer Farm.
