Surrounded by his family, Stephen Kent Watts, 68, of Danville, died Monday, January 21, 2019 at Great River Hospice House, West Burlington, after a very short illness. He was born October 16, 1950 in Burlington to Marvin E. and Wanda May Grinstead Watts. On August 16, 1980 he married Tammy LaRue Blanck in her parent's backyard in New London. He was a 1969 graduate of Danville High School, was a lifelong farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church, Danville.
Steve enjoyed fishing, golfing with his buddies, coaching his son's baseball teams, going to the races, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy; son Spencer (Jena) Watts, Hiawatha; two grandchildren, Kainen and Kooper Watts; sister Donna (Jim) Jensen, New London; mother and father-in-law, Monica and Gary Blanck, New London; sister-in-law, Julie (Kory) Lindell, New London; two nieces, two nephews and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
