Rose Peters

Rose Peters, 77, of Keokuk, passed away Saturday evening, January 26, 2019, at River Hills Village in Keokuk surrounded by her family. Rose was born September 9, 1941, in Lake City, Iowa, to Bernard Vincent Dalton and Arletta "Kay" Susan Kreft. She was united in marriage to Gordon Peters July 1, 1961 in Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded Rose in death April 20, 2017. Rose had lived in many cities while younger, but landed in Keokuk in 1970 where she and Gordon called it home for more than 40 years. Rose was a secretary in the Keokuk Community School district for 20 years. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Keokuk. Rose had a few titles in life, Mother, Wife, Secretary, Friend but her favorite was Grandmother. She had such a passion for life and always had a smile on her face. She was quick witted and could make a person smile on their worst of days.
