Alma "Peggy" Short

On Saturday January 26, 2019, Alma "Peggy" Short, a life long resident of South Florida, passed away at her home in Plantation, she was 84. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Mrs. Short worked for the Broward County Court House for 23 years and retired as the former Clerk of the Circuit Court. She is the beloved mother of Bill Short (Pearl), Frank Short (Lee), Phillip Short (Sharon), Burt Short (Sandy) and the late Ray Short (Chris). She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husbands, William Preston and Phillip Short. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday February 1, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12 noon at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 4650 N. Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point, Florida 33064. Private burial services will be held at a later date.
