Billie Patricia Duttweiler

Mrs. Billie Patricia Duttweiler, 87, of Burlington, Iowa and Sebring, Florida died at 2:25 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2011, at Sunnybrook of Burlington. Born September 12, 1923 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Frank Edward and Alice Elaine Boyle Armson. On November 22, 1943 she married Warren Edward "Dutch" Duttweiler in San Bernardino, California. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2005. Mrs. Duttweiler was a 1941 graduate of Burlington High School. She first worked at National Research Bureau and then for Burlington Chamber of Commerce. From 1959 - 2004 she was co-owner with her husband of Sterzing's Potato Chips. Mrs. Duttweiler was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Norman Circle of Kings Daughters, Burlington Golf Club, Red Hatters of Sebring Village and a former member of Carthage Lake Club. She was very creative and enjoyed crafts, teaching many craft courses in Sebring. She had a green thumb, and enjoyed playing bridge. Survivors include two daughters, Judy (John) Arledge of Ft. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. this evening in Lunning Chapel. The memorial funeral service for Mrs. Duttweiler will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 23rd, in Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Vicki Engelmann officiating. Inurnment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established for Great River Hospice and SCC Foundation Blackhawk Basketball Booster Endowed Scholarship Fund.
