Todd A. Becker

Madison -- Todd A. Becker, age 51 passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center following a courageous two year battle with cancer. He was born on July 29, 19 58 in Hudson, the son of Albert and Anne (Robbe) Becker.   On May 29, 1982 , Todd was united in marriage to the love of his life, Roxanne Mahlum.   In the fall of 1980, Todd began his courses at  UW School of Law. Following his first semester he began a clerkship with Frank Coyne and Rick Niess. Upon graduation, Todd became an associate and then a shareholder in the firm now known as Coyne, Schultz, Becker & Bauer.   Todd enjoyed a distinguished career as a trial lawyer.   He belonged to several professional societies and organizations including the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel and the Defense Research Institute.   Todd earned certification by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. dd was also a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church .     Todd was an avid Badger and Brewer fan.   He loved going on family vacations and was known as the "trip director".   Todd was devoted to his family and cherished all the time they had together. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Roxanne; three children, Claire, Brian and Christy; his parents, Al and Anne Becker, and his father and mother -in-law; Art and Bev Mahlum.   He will also be missed by other loving family, neighbors, friends, many clients, colleagues, and partners.   Todd was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.      Funeral services will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH , 5701 Raymond Rd. , Madison on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brent Campbell officiating.   A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd. on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 4 to 7 pm and at the church on Monday, August 2, 2010 from 10:00 am until the time of service.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Todd to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church , 5701 Raymond Rd , Madison , WI 53711 , UW Comprehensive Cancer Center, K4/658 CSC , 600 Highland Avenue , Madison , WI 53792-0001 or to the HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E.
