Kenneth Howard Durk

Kenneth Howard Durk, age 75 of 19035 State Hwy K, LaBelle, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 10:55 am. in Barnes Jewish Hospital. He was born January 27, 1932 in Quincy, Illinois the son of Albert Roy and Mildred Myrtle Jones Durk. On Sept. 8, 1977 he married Judith Croff in Golden, IL. She survives. He worked for 55 years in the construction trades. He enjoyed restoring tractors and was an avid collector of John Deere memorabilia. He was a veteran of the Army and a member of the VFW. He was loved by family and friends for his dry sense of humor and his easy going personality. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Katt Bowers and her husband, Steve, a son, Kenneth L. Durk and his wife Ruth, three stepsons, Mark Edgar and his wife Carrie, Scott Edgar, and Brett Edgar and his wife Karen. He is also survived by seven siblings: James "Bill" Durk, Mildred Waller, Clyde Wagner, Nancy Davis, Judy Gallaher, Larry Wagner and Dorothy Van Order; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father Walter Wagner. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.[more]
