Robert Francis Bloss, 82, of 1531 Manor Hill Drive, died at 9:30 PM, Tuesday, January 22, 2008, peacefully at home after battling congestive heart failure. took a large risk for his family's future, buying into a wholesale parts business, Robertson Electronics, Inc. of Jefferson City, MO. The business was known by its accounts for quality products, fair treatment and great customer service. Bob's years of hard work and personal sacrifice paid off when he retired as co-president in 1985. He never saw his success as his own, but rather a product of the faithful support from his family. His personal priorities were family, friends and his church. He enjoyed leisure family time at the 'cottage' on the Mississippi, in Quincy. Those who came in contact with Bob knew he truly led a servant life, looking to assist others in need, always without seeking recognition. He is survived by his wife Margaret, of the home; three children; Robert C. (Pamela) Bloss of Leawood, KS; Nancy K. Bloss, of Memphis, TN; and Karen L. (Doug) Bennett of Bloomington IN, grandchildren; Justin, Brian and Abby Bloss and Nick, Lindsay and Lauren Bennett. Preceding him in death are his parents; three brothers John, Fred and George Bloss and a sister, Katherine Patrick. SERVICES: Cremation will be handled by Hansen Spear. A memorial mass at St. Francis Catholic Church will be held at Noon on Saturday, January 26, with Rev. Kurt Hartrich, OFM officiating, followed by a celebration of Bob's life with family and friends at St. Francis School. A private graveside inurnment at Greenmount Cemetery will be held at a later time. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Blessing Foundation for Hospice or Meals on Wheels.
