Norma J. Barry

Norma J. Barry, age 77, of 4510 Bunker Dr., died Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 9:50 a.m. in Blessing Hospital. She was born October 14, 1931 in Richfield, Township, Illinois the daughter of Albert and Edith Campbell Mayfield. On July 1, 1951 she married James E. Barry. He survives. She was a 1949 graduate of Seymour High School. Norma enjoyed quilting and knitting. Both she and her husband were avid golfers. In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Dennis and his wife, Carol, of Dothan, AL; four grandchildren: Michael of Ft. Worth, TX; David of Quincy; Matthew of Utica, MI; and Joanna of Dothan, AL; two step-grandchildren: Amber Licklider and her husband, Cale, of Kansas City, MO and Adam Bridgman of Nelsonville, MO; a brother, Charles Mayfield of Iowa; and a sister Deanna Drake of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Steven and a granddaughter, Kimberly Kay Barry. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 25, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
