Linda Mae Dawson, age 66, of 3128 Center Drive, Quincy, died Sunday, March 29, 2015, at 3:42 pm in Blessing Hospital.
Linda was born April 9, 1948 in Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of John and Mary Richmond Brummer. She married James Dawson on March 17, 1973 in Quincy, Illinois. He survives.
Linda loved to help others, including praying for everyone she talked to, even if she didn't know them. She was a very kind and loving woman who lived life to the fullest. She liked to draw, write poetry and do crossword puzzles. She and James enjoyed going on car rides, especially the yearly fall color drives in the area.
Survivors include her husband, James Dawson of Quincy; three daughters, Alisha (Sean) McClelland of Chesapeake, VA, and Dana (Dustin) Herring and Carol Dawson, both of Quincy; 9 grandchildren, Emily, Kyle and John McClelland, Adrian, Joshua and Taylor Herring, Lisa-Ann and Katelyn Catterson, and Erica Rice; three sisters, Christy Gauch of Frankford, MO, Elicia Cuttsinger, Kim Sutton both of Hannibal, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
