(where he served on the Board of Directors), and the Quincy Country Club. Dr. Meyer is survived by five children: Judith Crowther; Richard Bruce Meyer (Margaret); Karen Christie (Carl); Dr. Roger Meyer (Mary Jo); and Jeffrey Meyer (Janet). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, and a nephew and numerous nieces. In addition to his wife, Marian, Dr. Meyer was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Carolyn Long. Dick's family is grateful for the tender loving care administered by the staffs at Senior Star, The Springs at Monarch Landing, and Angels Grace Hospice. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at First United Methodist Church (1032 Maple Avenue, Downers Grove, Illinois) A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Quincy Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to Quincy Public Schools Foundation, Alzheimer's Association, Parkinson Research Foundation, American Cancer Society, or Angels Grace Hospice. Hansen-Spear Funeral Directors are in charge of the arrangements.
