David Woodrow Klinedinst

David Woodrow Klinedinst, 70 of Mediapolis, died at 6:06 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa. Born December 31, 1948 in La Port, IN, he was the son of Joseph and Bernitha (Huffman) Klinedinst. He married Karen Byers on April 12, 1969 in Wauseon, OH. David graduated from Swanton High School in 1967. He resided in Delta, OH for 21 years and later Mediapolis, IA for 28 years. He worked as a machinist for Federal Mogul for 32 years and then as a para-educator at West Burlington Elementary School for 5 years before officially retiring in 2015. He had a strong Christian faith. He loved spending time with his family. He was always a great servant of others and never knew a stranger. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, telling stories, and was known to be quite a jokester. He was preceded in death by grandson, Caleb Camp; parents; sister, Grace Ashbaugh; and father-in-law, Vern Byers. The memorial service for Mr. Klinedinst will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 15th at Lunning Chapel. Jeff Camp will officiate. According to his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel. Visitation will be 5:30 until the time of service. A memorial has been established.
