Madison -- Scott Allen "Scooter" Halverson, age 31, died from heart failure on Friday, June 11, 2010. He was born on August 29, 1978, the son of Craig Allen Halverson and Constance (Braunschweig) Halverson. Scott is survived by his daughter, Savana Halverson; mother, Constance Halverson; father, Craig Halverson; sister, Rebecca Halverson; brother-in-law, Kelly Schlicht; nephew, Kristian Schlicht; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He also had many friends, especially Joey Zimmerman, Julius Socco and Jim Rudolph. He was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents, Ed and Marylin Halverson and maternal grandparents, Gwen and Howard Braunschweig. Scott was the best father, son and brother. Scott's greatest joy and love was spending time with his daughter, Savana, and nephew, Kristian. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, biking, walking, woodworking, and just being outdoors. He also enjoyed being with friends and listening to music. He had a great interest in learning how to play the guitar and cooking. Scott was a man who had the biggest heart and soul. in his lifetime as he fought against his bipolar disorder. At times, trouble found Scott. He refused to allow those troubles and the bipolar disorder take him. He lived life to the fullest. Scott attended MATC in Madison and intended to return in the fall. His dream was to graduate from the University of Wisconsin. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison with Rev. Sheryl L. Erickson officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at church on Thursday.
