Mr. Phillip Evan Hoos Sr., age 97, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019. He was born in Muskegon, MI on August 16, 1921 to Carl & Magdalene (Grilliot) Hoos and served his country in the US Army Air Force during World War II. He married the former Loraine Williams on March 6, 1943. Mr. Hoos had been employed in the Sales Department for Shaw Box Crane & Hoist for 45 years until retiring. Phillip was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and ushers club where he enjoyed volunteering at the church, being a lector, altar server and Eucharist Minister. He enjoyed gardening, bowling and the Old Newsies.

Son, Phillip E. (Barbara) Hoos Jr. of NY; grandchildren, Michael (Emily) Hoos & Jennifer (Anthony) Oliveri; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Hunter and Jackson; siblings, Robert Hoos, Maxine Kolean, Richard (Eileen) Hoos, Rita Horan; sisters-in-law, Carmen Goudie & Delores Williams; many nieces & nephews; his wonderful church family; special friends of the Marshall, Voelker & Raehl families. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Loraine & son, David.
