Lucille Watson, age 90, of Ames, Iowa died April 8, 2019, at Bethany Life in Story City, Iowa. A gathering of friends and family will be 4-6:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way, in Ames, with a 9:30 a.m. gathering prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at Gilbert Lutheran Church, 135 School Street, in Gilbert, with a burial at Gilbert Cemetery. Lucille Watson was born February 27, 1929 in Gilbert, Iowa, the daughter of George and Dorothy Clouser. She graduated from Gilbert High school in 1946. She was united in marriage to Bob Watson and from this union the couple had five children. She was a farm wife, worked at Donnelley's, Nevada and Story City hospitals and retired from 3M, during retirement she worked at Walgreens. She lived in Story County her whole life. Lucille enjoyed dancing, traveling, and reading. Lucille is survived by her brother, Gerald Clouser, sister, Marlene (Paul) Weigel, children, Diane (Tom) Laughlin, Tim (Judy) Watson, Cindy (Steve) Helgeson, and Kevin (Sue) Watson.
